Today is Veterans Day in the United States, a day we recognize those who have honorably worn the uniform in service of our country.
Veterans Day was originally known as Armistice Day – the official end of World War I in 1918.
Since, it has morphed into a day to recognize veterans from all four branches of the armed forces (i.e. Army, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard).
We owe a debt of gratitude to these brave men and women who have heroically served our nation.
Take a moment today to thank a veteran, attend a parade or service or simply take a moment of silence to recognize current and past members of the military for their sacrifice.
