When searching for the best workers’ compensation lawyer in Colorado, one of the most important measures of success and experience is an attorney’s involvement in professional organizations and legal associations. This involvement is a sign that the attorney is dedicated to furthering their knowledge and expertise in their designated practice area to better support their clients.
For this reason, we are thrilled to announce that R. Mack Babcock, Founder and Managing Attorney of The Babcock Law Firm, has been sworn in as President of the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG).
Mack and the other Executive Officers took their oaths of office during the 2021 WILG® Annual Convention, held on September 27-29, 2021 in Palm Beach, Florida.
About WILG
Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group is “the national non-profit membership organization dedicated to representing the interests of millions of workers and their families who, each year, suffer the consequences of workplace injuries and illnesses.” Through education, communication and research, WILG supports attorneys and other non-profit organizations in advocating for injured workers and their families.
The organization was founded by a small handful of claimants’ attorneys in 1995, and it has now grown to encompass over 1,100 members—from sole practitioners, to attorneys and paralegals from multi-lawyer firms—“representing every state in the nation.”
WILG officers are elected into a leadership track, and they move up automatically. The progression is Secretary, Treasurer, President-Elect, and then President. Mack was first selected as Secretary back in 2019, then he served as Treasurer in 2020. He was then promoted to President-Elect in 2021, and now has been elected to serve as President in 2022.
“I am honored and humbled that my fellow attorneys have placed their trust in me to lead WILG,” Mack Babcock said upon swearing in. “In the aftermath of the pandemic, workers’ rights are under attack across many sectors—not just in Colorado, but nationwide. I’m ready to meet these challenges head-on and go to bat for hardworking Americans being steamrolled by insurance companies, politicians and corporations.”
About Mack Babcock, Denver workers’ compensation attorney
As a former U.S. Marine, Mack knows something about the perseverance and resolve needed to face some of the biggest challenges facing American workers today. In addition to WILG, Mack has served on the Board of Directors and held leadership positions in other prestigious legal organizations such as the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and Workers’ Compensation Education Association. He’s also an Enjuris Partner and contributor.
Because of his knowledge, experience and passion for serving injured workers, Mack is frequently interviewed by major media outlets like The New York Times, NBC News, HuffPost, The Wall Street Journal and Legal Talk Network to comment on relevant cases and news stories.
