5280 has been recognizing the best Denver has to offer in its “Top of the Town” list since 1993. The lists typically include the best places to visit, best businesses and services, most fun activities around the metro area, etc. This year, a list of the top attorneys was also featured. Three hundred top Denver area attorneys of various legal backgrounds were featured.
Workers’ compensation attorney R. Mack Babcock made the inaugural list.
Mack has also received the national Rising Star award four times from Super Lawyers.
“I am honored to have been chosen for this distinguished list,” Mack said. “It’s especially meaningful to be recognized by my colleagues and fellow Denver attorneys. My legal team and I consider it our honor to fight for the rights of injured workers in Denver and throughout Colorado.”
The process for selecting the attorneys on 5280‘s list involved sending thousands of ballots to licensed lawyers all around Denver, from Broomfield to Littleton to Aurora. The ballots asked the lawyers for their recommendation of top lawyers in several categories. These questions included:
- Who is the most effective attorney in court?
- The least effective?
- Which attorney has the best reputation?
- Which young lawyers are quickly earning respect?
5280 then interviewed some of the region’s respected legal counselors for insider information. There was also extensive research (both phone and internet) conducted to find stand-out individuals—those who go above and beyond their duty when representing local clients.
